Stay Humble & Hustle- An Open Letter To My Readers

This week I really struggled with what to write. Me without words? I know, it’s shocking. So I figured I could take this writer’s block and turn it into something useful. 4c4b339cec71546c4247b5f397b2fe42--bestfriends-remember-this

There is an incredible amount of pressure in the inter webs, and by extension, the blogosphere. It seems like everyone has something to say now. With all of the noise out there, it feeds the need to prove your usefulness to the world in some way or another.

Technology continues to change and Google continues to add odd updates that change our rankings. It becomes increasingly difficult to connect to people on a personal level and some days it just feels like I’m spinning my wheels.

You get the picture. Blogging isn’t always a walk in the park, but it is absolutely worth it.

This is an open thank you note to all of you out there that read this, and some of you that might never see it.

I appreciate you. Yes, you hiding behind the screen of your phone as we pass on the street. To my friends in foreign countries who read this, my family, lost acquaintances, and even those of you that I have never actually met. I appreciate every single one of you.

It’s easy to take loyal readers for granted. Every blogger these days is worried about how searchable they are and how they can reach new audiences. But the truth is, there is far more to this blog than the position of my search ranking. I owe all of you far more than that. Some of your identities still surprise me to this day (the ones that I know of), and I am truly honored that you take the time to read my thoughts.

I always say that the little things mean the most. To all of you who have read even two sentences from any of my blogs, thank you. Thank you for taking those few moments of your time to care about whatever I had to say. It’s an incredible feeling to know that someone out there actually thinks my weekly musings are interesting. This blog has allowed me to connect with you on a personal level, even if we don’t interact on a regular basis.

You inspire me. The reality is, that this blog wouldn’t exist without you, my readers. Whenever I sit down to write about whatever ideas or insights I want to share, there is always the consideration of how my thoughts could benefit you. There are tons of amazing blogs out there with incredible content and ideas. I always want to make sure that you are happy with your decision to take the time out of your day to read my blog.

You encourage me. I have to give you guys all of the credit here. Each week, you push me to deliver consistent content that inspires and motivates and that can address some of the problems you might be facing or even just giving you a new perspective on an issue. This blog, in many ways, is like the teamwork experiences I write about. You help me improve each week, and therefore help me become more successful. Even when I hit a wall in my weekly post, you help motivate me to continue. I know that I can always count on you to read my posts and that helps me set the bar very high for myself.

Stay humble & hustle. Writing this blog each week has shown me the value of keeping up with something that can be incredibly frustrating at times. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have banged my head against my desk because I haven’t had anything to say. I am constantly reminded by you, my amazing readers, that I just need to keep writing. I still have so much to learn and am thankful that I have all of you to accompany me on this journey of improvement and self-discovery.

You let me be myself. I know that my particular brand of enthusiasm and sass is not everyone’s cup of tea. As an ENFJ, I have a propensity for connecting to people and do not like to disappoint. This blog is one of the places that I feel at home and can let my thoughts run wild. This blog has become a special place for me to reach out in hopes that I can brighten your day somehow. When it all comes down to it, I don’t write this blog for the search rankings. I write this for you, my readers.

Stay excellent, friends. There’s a reason why I use this phrase to sign off. The support I have received while writing this blog has been overwhelmingly wonderful. Every blogger loves to brag about their readers, but I can say with absolute certainty that you guys are the best.

Above all, thank you. Every time you click over and read, leave a comment or engage, I appreciate it. You’ve helped me more than you can ever know.

That being said, if you have something neat that you would like me to check out, drop me a line here. I would love to support you in any way that I can.

Stay excellent, my friends.

Cheers,

Brittany Bee

I’d like to pretend I’m cool.
